Digital marketer

Not “I posted” — measures traffic and reports to the owner with CPA and ROAS.

Income range: 5,000,000–22,000,000 UZS / mo

Takeaways

  • A digital marketer buys or builds traffic and ties it to a measurable result — not “I posted.”
  • hh.uz (early 2026, Flexa): marketing-manager median offer ~10.6M; SMM ~9.2M. Ads, not an official mean. National 7.09M is context.
  • One channel first (Meta or Google or SEO) plus GA4. Telegram and Instagram are heavy in Uzbekistan; marketplaces are their own channel.

Traffic and a measurement

A digital marketer grows a brand through search, ads, social, email, or marketplaces. The goal is usually a cheaper customer (CAC) and a readable ROAS/LTV — not “awareness,” unless the KPI says so.

SMM, performance, SEO, and CRM are specialties. In a small business you own all of them. PR and brand design are other seats.

A fit if you like numbers + copy + a fast test. A poor fit if you only want selfies and you flee reports.

Channels (Uzbekistan 2026)

ChannelWhat you measureEntry
Telegram / InstagramReach, follows, salesA content habit; SMM ads ~9.2M
Meta / Google AdsCPA, ROAS, budgetSkillshop/Blueprint plus a tiny test
SEO / siteSearch, time on pageSlower; GA4 is required
Uzum / WB and othersCard, ads, stockIts own cabinet; not SMM
Email / CRMOpens, repeat buyA thin door; data law

Cabinet in the morning, creative after

Morning: budget, CTR, CPA, “what died overnight.” Then copy, image, landing. Afternoon tweaks; evening five lines to the owner.

Payment and attribution are messy — last click can lie. Write which conversion is Click/Payme/card.

From one channel to a report

  1. 01GA4 + one cabinet

Skillshop or Meta Blueprint is free. Two weeks on a tiny budget (yours or a friend’s, with permission).

  2. 02Landing and offer

Good ads and a bad page burn money. One action, a phone number.

  3. 03A weekly report

Spend, leads, cost, what you changed. That is the book — not “I do SMM.”

  4. 04A second channel

After 3–6 months. “I know everything” sinks a junior.

Who reads the number vs who only posts

A fit: numbers, short copy, “this did not work.” A poor fit: selling “guaranteed 10x.” Eyes need breaks in cabinet hours.

Mistakes that burn the budget

  • Treating 10.6M as a guarantee
  • Mixing your card with the client budget
  • Writing last click as the only truth
  • Publishing AI content unchecked
  • Learning every cabinet in one month

Pay: an ad median

hh.uz samples (Flexa, early 2026): marketing-manager median offer ~10.6M; SMM ~9.2M (another rollup ~8M, range 2–18). A high “average” can be a senior tail. There is no official marketer series.

In-house is steadier; agencies are faster, evening-heavy, multi-client. Ask the KPI-bonus formula. National 7.09M (H1 2026) is context. Tashkent ~12.01M is the city mean.

Agency, in-house, Telegram

Ads: hh.uz, Telegram, agency sites. Language: Uzbek/Russian creative; cabinet UI in English. Region: thicker agencies in the capital; a “SMM+ads+marketplace” desk in the regions.

Certs and an English report

Google/Meta certs plus written English open a foreign client. Relocation is rarer than remote. Do not convert a US wage. Ad labeling and personal data follow that country’s law.

AI writes copy — not the cabinet

AI speeds copy and images. It does not see policy, brand risk, or lying attribution. You own the hypothesis, the budget, and ethics. Do not paste political ads or personal data into a model.

Risks and myths

Ads are not disappearing. Cheap content gets cheaper. Risks: burnout, “10x ROAS” lies, mixed budgets. Myths: “10.6M guaranteed”; “AI is the marketer.”

Questions beside the ad cabinet

SMM vs performance?

SMM is content and community; performance is the paid cabinet and CPA. Many ads mix both.

Can I learn without my own budget?

Theory yes, practice stays weak. A 200–500k UZS test on a friend’s business — with permission.

Does a certificate get the job?

It opens a door. A before/after number matters more.

How long?

One channel: 3–6 months. A “full stack” is 12+ months and continues on the job.

Why do marketer and SMM pay differ?

No official series. ~10.6 / ~9.2M ad medians (early 2026). Open 5–10 ads.

Is AI content enough?

As a draft, yes. Brand voice, ad labeling, and the numbers stay yours.

Cabinet in English — is Russian/Uzbek enough?

Cabinet UI is in English. An international client wants a written report. Local SMM may work in Russian/Uzbek.

What do I do in the first two weeks?

Open GA4, one cabinet, a five-line daily note, one landing. Do not learn every tool.

Figures draw on 2026 sources: Uzbekistan National Statistics Committee (official sector averages, Q1/H1 2026), Flexa and hh.uz vacancy medians, and public IT Park / product-team guides. Not a guarantee — contract type, city, tax, and level change the range. Compare live vacancies yourself.
