A project manager holds one project to a date, scope, and budget. A product manager decides what to build. A delivery/engineering manager owns the team and technical risk. A scrum master owns rhythm. Ads stamp “PM” on all of them — read the text.
Uzbekistan has two large worlds: IT (sprint, Jira, demo) and construction (estimate, permit, site). Event/marketing PM is a third. One certificate does not grant the other.
A fit if you can stand fog, leave a written trail, and cut conflict. A poor fit if you need to be liked and do the work while the team stays silent.

The day orbits blockers
Standup, the board, a risk list, a stakeholder note, “who does what.” You may not write code — you must see the block. Construction: site, estimate, a late permit. IT: QA, prod, scope creep.
Without a written trail, the evening fight is “I told you.” A full calendar is the job, not decoration.

Who can write no

Pay: no series
There is no official PM row. ICT ~17.41M (H1 2026) mixes telecom and engineers — not a PM offer. In IT teams the range can sit near or below engineering; construction has another estimate and cycle.
Open 5–10 ads (do not mix IT and site). Tashkent ~12.01M is city context. PMP does not lift pay by itself.
Where to look
IT Park teams, digital banks, marketplaces, construction holdings, public digitization, agencies. Ads: hh.uz, LinkedIn, Telegram. Language: Russian/Uzbek, Jira/Confluence in English.
Coordinator ads are the junior door. “5 years PMP” can be a template — still apply if you have one ship.
English, time zones, PMP
A foreign team: written English, overlapping hours, async status. PMP/PSM is a filter on some ads. Relocation is visa law, not a how-to. Do not convert a US PM salary at the FX rate.
AI drafts minutes — it does not reconcile people
AI drafts a standup summary and a risk list. It does not own conflict, budget, or no. A false status burns trust. Scarce: a written trail and the stop.
Myths
Projects remain. Cheap status gets cheaper. Risks: meeting burnout, always-on. Myths: “Jira = PM”; “17M is mine”; “AI replaces the PM.”
